Cruz Azul prepares to face FC Juárez in Liga MX Matchday 12

Cruz Azul is set to face FC Juárez in a Matchday 12 fixture of the Liga MX Apertura 2026 tournament at Estadio Banorte on Saturday, October 17. The match is scheduled for 21:00 central Mexico time.

Cruz Azul currently sits in seventh place with 17 points. Despite a high offensive output, the team has struggled with defensive stability, conceding 21 goals in 11 matches. Manager Joel Huiqui has acknowledged recent errors, noting that the team has struggled to maintain the defensive balance seen during their previous championship run. There are reports that Huiqui may implement significant changes to the starting lineup, potentially including the return of Amaury García to the midfield or defense, and potentially rotating out established players like Erik Lira, Willer Ditta, or Gonzalo Piovico.

FC Juárez enters the match at the bottom of the standings with only four points from 11 games. The club is seeking crucial points to climb out of the last position.
