César ‘Chino’ Huerta is set to return to Pumas UNAM for the Apertura 2026 tournament in Liga MX. The 25-year-old Mexican winger has reached an agreement with the Belgian club RSC Anderlecht for a permanent transfer.

Following a challenging period in Europe marked by limited playing time and a pubalgia injury, Huerta is expected to sign a three-year contract. He is scheduled to arrive in Mexico City this Wednesday to undergo medical examinations and finalize the paperwork.

The move aims to bolster the Pumas attack under manager Esteban Solari, particularly on the left flank. During his tenure with Anderlecht, Huerta appeared in 38 matches, recording five goals and three assists.
