Liga MX: Necaxa and FC Juárez draw as Apertura 2026 enters final stages

Necaxa and FC Juárez played to a 1-1 draw at Estadio Victoria to open Matchday 14 of the Liga MX Apertura 2026 tournament. Owen González scored for Necaxa in the 26th minute, but Luca Martínez Dupuy equalized for Juárez in the 81st minute, breaking the visitors' streak of away losses.

The result leaves Necaxa in 17th place with 10 points, mathematically confirming their elimination from the Liguilla playoffs. FC Juárez remains at the bottom of the table in 18th place with 5 points.

As the regular season nears its end, several clubs face pressure regarding the 'Regla de Menores' (Minor Rule), which requires teams to accumulate 1,170 minutes with players born in 2004 or later. While teams like Necaxa and Pumas have met this requirement, clubs including Monterrey, Querétaro, and FC Juárez still need to fulfill the quota to avoid potential sanctions.
