Cruz Beckham releases debut EP ‘Wear & Tear’ amid family speculation

Cruz Beckham, 21, has released his debut EP titled ‘Wear & Tear’ with his band, The Breakers. The six-song collection has sparked significant fan speculation regarding potential references to ongoing tensions within the Beckham family.

Listeners have pointed to tracks such as ‘Seeing Red’ and ‘Loneliest Boy’ as possible nods to his estranged brother, Brooklyn Peltz-Beckham, and his parents, David and Victoria Beckham. In ‘Loneliest Boy,’ lyrics mention a ‘loneliest boy’ and a mother whose heart is breaking, which fans have linked to Brooklyn’s public fallout with the family earlier this year.

Addressing the speculation, Cruz described ‘Seeing Red’ as a ‘comedic interpretation of a totally unserious moment of frustration’ related to sports competition. The song’s music video features the band playing soccer, which some view as an homage to David Beckham’s professional career.
