Cruz del Sur bus targeted in shooting in Lima

A Cruz del Sur interprovincial bus was targeted in a shooting early Wednesday morning at the intersection of Canada and Rosa Toro avenues, on the border of the San Luis and San Borja districts in Lima, Peru.

Security footage shows two individuals on a motorcycle approaching the double-decker bus while it was stopped at a red light. The assailants fired approximately three shots at the vehicle, striking the driver's cabin and the second floor. No injuries or fatalities were reported during the attack.

Following the incident, the suspects fled at high speed toward Circunvalación Avenue. Passengers were transferred to a company terminal to continue their journey to Ica via another bus. Local police have established a perimeter to investigate the shooting.
