Cruz Roja Toluca launches 24/7 psychological support services
The Toluca delegation of the Mexican Red Cross, in collaboration with Fundación Alef, has launched new psychological care and emotional containment services. These services are designed to support individuals experiencing crises resulting from accidents, violence, or the loss of loved ones, with a specific focus on suicide prevention.
The initiative includes a 24/7 Emotional Containment and Psychological Emergency Line, accessible via telephone or WhatsApp at 722 128 1347. Additionally, psychological emergency services will be available at the Red Cross Toluca specialty and outpatient clinics from Monday to Saturday. These in-person services will provide no-cost emotional support to patients and their families arriving at the emergency room.
Mario Vázquez de la Torre, president of the Local Council of the Mexican Red Cross in Toluca, stated that the goal is to move beyond treating physical injuries to healing people emotionally, ensuring those in crisis do not feel alone.
