Cruz Roja Victoria receives new donations as ambulance service stays suspended

The Lions Club of Ciudad Victoria pledged ongoing support to the Cruz Roja Mexican delegation in Victoria, delivering medicines for pain, diabetes and common ailments, and providing items for a fundraising bazaar. President María Dolores Terán Lara said the club will adapt its aid to the Red Cross’s identified needs and help restore its historic service level.

Cruz Roja Victoria remains unable to operate ambulance units because of funding shortfalls, limiting its work to outpatient consultations. President of the Board of Trustees, engineer Francisco Arellano Conde, announced a store‑rounding fundraising campaign scheduled for 16‑30 August to generate revenue for basic operating costs and to reactivate at least two ambulance units. He noted, “Tomamos la decisión de empezar la generación de ingresos con las consultas…”, and emphasized that insurance and federal authorization are still required before ambulances can return to service.
