Cruzeiro hires Paulinho for football department

Cruzeiro has hired former Brazilian national team midfielder Paulinho to join its football department. The 38-year-old, a former Corinthians idol with experience at Barcelona and Tottenham, will serve as a liaison between players, the technical staff, and the board. His role includes assisting in the club's long-term planning for 2027.

In addition to management changes, there is growing internal discussion regarding the integration of youth talent at the club. Specifically, 17-year-old midfielder Eduardo Pape, a standout for the Brazil U-17 national team and a key figure in Cruzeiro's recent Copinha title, is being highlighted as a player who deserves immediate opportunities in the senior squad.
