Palmeiras secures Libertadores Feminina quarterfinal spot

Palmeiras advanced to the quarterfinals of the Copa Libertadores Femenina after a 3-1 comeback victory against Argentina's Belgrano in Quito, Ecuador. Despite falling behind early to a goal by Alaides Paz in the 13th minute, the Brazilian side responded with goals from Bia Zaneratto and Brena to take the lead before the halftime whistle.

Bia Zaneratto scored twice, including a decisive second goal early in the second half, while Brena contributed a long-range strike to complete the comeback. With this win, Palmeiras maintains a perfect record in Group B with six points, mathematically securing their place in the knockout stages regardless of the final group match results.

In other Group C action, Cruzeiro overcame the challenges of playing at 2,850-meter altitude in Quito to defeat LDU 2-1. Gisseli opened the scoring for the Brazilian side, and Byanca Brasil secured the win with a second-half goal, despite a comeback attempt by the Ecuadorian hosts.
