Cruzeiro secures victory over Remo and advances in Libertadores Feminina

Cruzeiro achieved significant results across both men's and women's competitions. In the Campeonato Brasileiro Série A, Cruzeiro defeated Remo 1-0 at the Mineirão. The winning goal was scored by defender Fabrício Bruno with a header in the final moments of the first half. Despite the victory, coach Artur Jorge noted that the team's performance was below their usual standard and admitted to conceding too much space to the opponent. The win moved Cruzeiro into third place in the league standings.

In the Copa Libertadores Feminina, the Cruzeiro women's team secured the top spot in Group C after a 3-0 victory against Olimpia in Quito, Ecuador. With three wins in three matches, the team has advanced to the quarter-finals, where they are scheduled to face Libertad of Paraguay.

Regarding player updates, striker Bruno Rodrigues, currently on loan from Palmeiras, expressed his desire to remain with Cruzeiro following the match against Remo. Additionally, attacker Gabriel Pec has made progress in his recovery from a tibia fracture, returning to running drills on the pitch, though he has not yet been cleared for competitive play.
