Cruzeiro do Sul begins construction of mototaxista central hub

The City Hall of Cruzeiro do Sul has officially authorized the construction of a new central hub for mototaxistas (motorcycle taxi drivers). Mayor Zequinha Lima signed the service order on Friday, November 11, to begin work on the facility located in the city center near the Ecoponto.

The new structure, measuring approximately 3 by 6 meters, will serve as an administrative support office. It will allow professionals to organize activities, dispatch demands, and issue documents. This initiative follows a period where drivers lacked a central reference point after being required to vacate the Multipurpose Center in the João Alves neighborhood due to a Public Ministry determination.

Adson Souza de França, president of the Association of Mototaxistas, described the project as a significant achievement for the dignity of the workers. The municipal administration expects the construction to be completed within 30 to 60 days.
