Religious celebrations draw large crowds in Brazil and Portugal

In Cruzeiro do Sul, Brazil, the 108th Novenary of Nossa Senhora da Glória concluded with a massive procession. According to Military Police, approximately 50,000 people participated in the walk. Bishop Dom Flávio Giovanale praised the high level of spiritual engagement and used the occasion to call for peace and civility during the electoral period, urging citizens to respect differing political views.

In Portugal, the Archdiocese of Évora celebrated the liturgical feast of Santa Beatriz da Silva at the Convent of the Conceptionist Sisters in Campo Maior. The event is part of a Jubilee Year marking the centenary of her beatification and the 50th anniversary of her canonization. The celebrations included the presence of Archbishop D. Francisco Senra Coelho and various pilgrims.
