Cruzeiro do Sul mechanizes over 900 hectares of rural land

The City Hall of Cruzeiro do Sul, through the Municipal Secretariat of Agriculture, has mechanized 905 hectares of rural land for soil preparation between January and September of this year.

Using 10 agricultural tractors equipped with plows and levelers, the initiative supports various crops including coffee, cassava, pineapple, watermelon, corn, beans, and pasture. The service aims to reduce manual labor for farmers and ensure soil is prepared according to production calendars.

Local representatives, including Deputy Secretary of Agriculture Aldeni Menezes and José Nildo of the Unidos Somos Fortes Association, noted that the mechanization provides essential support for rural communities, such as Ramal do Centrinho, to facilitate timely planting.
