Cruzeiro do Sul Secretary Nildson Moura resigns amid election pressure allegations

Nildson Moura, the municipal Secretary of Agriculture, Fisheries, and Supply in Cruzeiro do Sul, has resigned from his position following the circulation of an audio recording on social media. The recording led to allegations that Moura was pressuring public servants to participate in electoral activities.

Moura has denied these allegations, stating that the audio was recorded within a private political group consisting of friends and leaders, rather than during his official duties. He clarified that his references to “management” in the recording pertained to campaign coordination for Alan Rick’s candidacy for the government of Acre, not the municipal administration.

Mayor Zequinha Lima has accepted Moura’s request to step down. Moura stated his resignation is intended to end the spread of misinformation and to allow him to focus on a “personal project.”
