Cruzeiro do Sul's Festival da Farinha 2026 Targets Larger Crowd

The municipal Secretary of Culture, Flávio Rosas, announced that the Festival da Farinha will take place from 26 to 29 August 2026 at the Complexo Esportivo in Cruzeiro do Sul, Acre. Organisers aim to exceed the attendance and results of the previous edition, featuring four nights of national and local performances, a contest to crown the festival's King and Queen, and a broad invitation to residents of Acre and visitors from other states.

During the 21st Expoacre Juruá 2026, the flour produced by the Pentecoste community was highlighted as a hallmark of regional tradition and innovation. Representatives of the Coopfarinha Vale do Juruá cooperative explained that modernized milling equipment now allows two workers to produce 20–22 sacks of flour per day, compared with four workers producing eight sacks under manual methods. This productivity boost reflects broader advances in family‑farm agriculture across Cruzeiro do Sul and surrounding municipalities.
