Cruzeiro fans protest at airport following defeat to Bragantino

Cruzeiro supporters staged a protest at Confins International Airport in the early hours of Tuesday following the team’s 4-2 defeat to Red Bull Bragantino in the 29th round of the Campeonato Brasileiro. The demonstration targeted players and the club's executive director of football, Bruno Spindel.

Several players, including William, Bruno Rodrigues, and Lucas Silva, faced direct confrontation with fans in the airport parking lot. The protest follows a period of poor performance for the club, including recent eliminations from the Copa do Brasil and the Libertadores.

In an official statement, Cruzeiro acknowledged the fans' right to peaceful manifestation and expressed understanding of their dissatisfaction regarding the match result. However, the club condemned any acts of violence or intimidation that threaten the physical integrity of its athletes and staff.
