Cruzeiro pursues Colombian winger Yáser Asprilla

Brazilian club Cruzeiro has confirmed serious interest in acquiring 22‑year‑old Colombian winger Yáser Asprilla from Spanish side Girona. Club officials say the player’s candidacy has been approved and exploratory talks are underway, though formal negotiations have not yet begun. The deal is expected to be a loan with an option to buy, but high salary demands and a satisfactory purchase price remain key obstacles. Asprilla, who signed with Girona until 2030 after an €18 million transfer in 2022, is currently valued at around €14 million. Other Brazilian clubs, notably Vasco da Gama, are also monitoring the situation, potentially turning it into a domestic bidding contest.
