Cruzeiro rejects offers for Colombian striker Neyser Villarreal

Cruzeiro has rejected various offers for Colombian striker Neyser Villarreal, opting to keep him under contract for at least another year. Despite interest from clubs in Brazil and Europe, the Brazilian club intends to continue his development process.

Villarreal, who previously played for Millonarios, has seen limited playing time this year, accumulating only 962 minutes. Cruzeiro views his evolution as positive and believes he needs more time to secure a consistent role within the squad. The club previously invested approximately one million dollars in a signing fee to secure the player as a free agent.
