Cruzeiro retains attackers Kenny Arroyo and Rayan Lelis

Cruzeiro has decided to retain two of its young attacking talents despite interest from international and domestic clubs.

Regarding Kenny Arroyo, the 20-year-old Ecuadorian forward has attracted interest from Italian club AS Roma. Following his arrival from Besiktas in September 2025, Arroyo has become a key tactical piece, recording eight goals and five assists in 44 matches. While Roma has made informal inquiries, Cruzeiro has declined to enter negotiations, prioritizing the player's presence in the squad for upcoming competitions. Arroyo remains under contract until December 2029 and continues to represent the Ecuadorian national team.

Similarly, the club rejected a loan offer for 19-year-old Rayan Lelis from Avaí. The decision follows a previous rejected proposal from Bulgarian side Ludogorets, which involved a loan and a €3 million purchase option. Cruzeiro has opted to keep Lelis at the club for the time being, supported by a contract that runs through December 2029, allowing the board more time to evaluate his professional development.
