Alphabet attracts new $4.3 bn stake from Berkshire Hathaway amid other investor moves

Berkshire Hathaway disclosed a new holding in Alphabet worth about $4.34 billion in its latest 13F filing, marking the conglomerate’s first investment in Google’s parent company. The stake represents a significant but not dominant portion of Berkshire’s portfolio and reflects growing confidence in Alphabet’s cloud business and AI initiatives.

In the same quarter, Cabot Wealth Management reduced its Alphabet position by 5.4%, selling 6,587 shares and ending the period with 114,924 shares. Conversely, MGO One Seven LLC increased its holding by roughly 4.3%, adding a few thousand shares to bring its total to 111,210.

Bank of America updated its forecast for Alphabet stock, noting that the shares have risen about 25.3% year‑to‑date, outpacing the S&P 500’s 8.4% gain. The analyst outlook highlights Alphabet’s strong earnings growth, expanding cloud revenue, and continued leadership in online advertising and artificial‑intelligence services.
