Donald Trump discloses over 1,100 July trades including SpaceX and tech sales

President Donald Trump has disclosed more than 1,100 securities transactions conducted on his behalf during July, according to a recent financial filing. The high volume of trading, averaging approximately 50 transactions per day, represents a significant reshuffling of his investment portfolio. Total transaction values for the month are estimated to be between $79 million and $270 million.

Key transactions included the sale of Microsoft and Amazon shares, valued between $5 million and $25 million each, on July 20. Shortly after, smaller purchases of these same stocks were reported. The disclosure also highlighted trades in companies with significant ties to the federal government, such as SpaceX and Northrop Grumman. Specifically, Trump purchased SpaceX shares valued between $15,001 and $50,000 on July 10 and sold between $1,001 and $15,000 on July 17.

The frequency and nature of these trades, involving major defense contractors and technology firms, have raised questions regarding potential conflicts of interest. In response, the White House stated that the president's stock and bond portfolio is independently managed by third-party financial institutions and that neither the president nor his family has the authority to direct or influence specific investment decisions.
