Crypto trader Frogman loses over $4 million in wallet theft
Cryptocurrency trader Frogman reported the theft of more than $4 million from two of his digital wallets while he was sleeping in Singapore. The incident occurred around 4:14 a.m. local time, coinciding with the opening of the TOKEN2049 conference at Marina Bay Sands.
On-chain data indicates that attackers siphoned nine different tokens, with the largest losses involving BP, MarsCoin, and Cash Cat. The stolen assets were sold in four equal lots within a nine-minute window. Following the theft, the attacker converted the tokens into Ethereum, BNB, and Solana, subsequently distributing the funds through services like Privacy Cash and Chainflip to obscure the transaction trail.
Frogman stated on X that he has found no evidence of a breach on his phone or email. He noted that he had met many new people during his time in Singapore, though the exact method used to gain access to the wallets remains unknown. Investigations are currently underway.
