Bitcoin and Ethereum ETFs see rebound in inflows
Cryptocurrency markets are experiencing volatility driven by shifting flows in spot exchange-traded funds (ETFs). While some reports highlight significant weekly net outflows for Bitcoin and Ether ETFs, recent data shows a rebound with combined inflows of approximately $200.5 million on October 13. Bitcoin ETFs saw $175.7 million in net inflows, led by Fidelity’s FBTC, while Ethereum ETFs recorded $24.8 million in inflows, ending a multi-day outflow streak.
Despite these recent gains, the broader monthly trend for October remains negative for both assets. Bitcoin ETFs have faced roughly $707 million in net outflows throughout the month, and Ethereum ETFs also remain deeply negative for the period. Market analysts note that sustained recovery will depend on whether these inflows continue and how macroeconomic factors, such as U.S. Treasury yields, influence investor appetite for riskier digital assets.
In the UAE, Standard Chartered has expanded institutional access by allowing professional investors to trade Bitcoin and Ether through existing bank accounts under VARA regulation.
