Cryptocurrency market shows signs of bullish trend and institutional adoption

Market analysts are observing significant shifts in the cryptocurrency landscape, characterized by changing investor behavior and increased institutional interest. Data from CryptoQuant indicates that short-term holders (STH)—those who have held Bitcoin for less than six months—have been in a continuous profit position since August 16. This represents the longest such streak since the market peak in October of last year. This trend is notable because short-term holders often react more volatilely to price movements compared to long-term investors.

Separately, Tom Lee, CEO of the Ethereum investment firm Bitmine, predicts a highly bullish period for the crypto market over the next twelve months. Lee attributes this outlook to the fact that Wall Street has begun to seriously embrace blockchain technology, a shift he claims has only gained momentum in the last eighteen months. He points to the development of tokenized securities and stablecoins as evidence that the financial sector now views crypto as a useful tool for rebuilding financial infrastructure, citing interest from major players like BlackRock and Robinhood.
