Cryptocurrency markets face volatility amid WLFI transfers and Lighter institutional activity

World Liberty Financial (WLFI) has seen increased selling pressure following a treasury transfer of 39 million tokens, valued at approximately $2.19 million, to a Bybit-linked deposit wallet. This movement contributed to a positive net exchange inflow of roughly $1.34 million over a 24-hour period, surpassing the previous seven-day net inflow total. While the transfer raises concerns regarding increased available supply on exchanges, WLFI's price gained 1.65% during the same period.

In a separate market development, Lighter (LIT) experienced significant institutional activity, with one institution depositing 3.35 million LIT, valued at about $7.83 million, into the Lighter platform. This followed the institution's withdrawal of millions of tokens from OKX and Bitstamp. Despite this institutional positioning, LIT saw spot netflows turn positive at approximately $609,780, suggesting potential selling pressure. Meanwhile, derivatives data from Binance indicates a bullish sentiment among top traders, who maintained a long/short ratio of 2.34.
