Cryptocurrency markets see shifts in Bitcoin positions and XRP price surge
Cryptocurrency market data shows significant shifts in trader positions and technical indicators. According to CoinGlass, USDT-collateralized long positions for Bitcoin saw a sharp decline, with the proportion of Bitcoin long-holding accounts dropping by 11 percentage points. Ethereum also experienced a decrease in USDT-collateralized long positions, though its coin-collateralized positions saw an increase.
In a separate development, XRP experienced a price rise following news regarding a ledger test by the Bank for International Settlements (BIS). This has drawn investor attention to the potential integration of blockchain infrastructure with existing financial settlement systems. Meanwhile, Ethereum is approaching a ‘golden cross’—a technical signal where a short-term moving average crosses above a long-term moving average—which may indicate a potential shift toward a mid-to-long-term upward trend.
