Cryptocurrency markets see Stellar open interest rise and Litecoin test support
Stellar (XLM) traded at approximately $0.20 on October 9, experiencing a 1.76% daily decline. Despite the price drop, Binance futures open interest rose by 10.54%, reaching roughly $40.7 million across 198.3 million contracts. Market positioning remains mixed; while the global account long/short ratio on Binance was nearly balanced at 1.0068, top traders showed a higher tilt toward long positions with a ratio of 1.3590.
Litecoin (LTC) is currently testing a demand zone after a recent pullback from a high near $72.40. The asset is trading around $66.32, sitting near horizontal support at $65.60 and a fair value gap established during its previous breakout. Analysts suggest that maintaining support above $62.10 is critical to preserving the current bullish breakout structure, while a drop below that level could shift focus toward the $59.20 breakout zone.
