Crypton Future Media and Mixch announce recent cultural and sporting event results

Crypton Future Media has announced the winners of its programming contest held as part of the ‘Hatsune Miku Magical Mirai 2026’ event. The contest, conducted in cooperation with the National Institute of Advanced Industrial Science and Technology, invited developers to create web applications, known as lyric apps, that react to specific musical tracks. Out of 168 entries, ten finalists were selected for a public vote, resulting in one Grand Prize winner, ‘Penlight as Takt’ by Team AHEAD, and three Excellence Awards.

In separate news, the live-streaming app Mixch hosted ‘Mixch DAY’ at Rakuten Mobile Stadium Miyagi during a professional baseball game between the Tohoku Rakuten Golden Eagles and the Orix Buffaloes. The event featured 14 Mixch streamers participating in various promotional activities. Kimika, a former NPB cheerleader with ties to the Tohoku region, performed the ceremonial first pitch to celebrate her professional milestone through the platform.
