Crysencio Summerville signs with Al‑Hilal for €64.5 m, third‑most expensive Saudi transfer

Dutch winger Crysencio Summerville moved from West Ham United to Saudi Pro League giants Al‑Hilal for a reported €64.5 million fee. The amount places him behind only Neymar (€90 million) and Jhon Durán (€77 million) as the three costliest inbound transfers in the league’s history.

Al‑Hilal, which has recently invested heavily in players such as Malcom, Rúben Neves and Darwin Núñez, offered Summerville up to €17 million net per year – roughly €68 million over the length of his contract. The deal becomes West Ham’s third‑largest sale, after Declan Rice and Mateus Fernandes, and is expected to aid the club’s finances following relegation. Summerville’s move also raises questions about his future role with the Netherlands national team ahead of Euro 2028.
