Crystal Dynamics announces physical editions of Legacy of Kain: Defiance Remastered

Crystal Dynamics and co-developer PlayEveryWare have announced physical editions for Legacy of Kain: Defiance Remastered, scheduled for release on November 13, 2026. Distributed by Plaion, the game will be available on PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch, Xbox Series X, and Xbox One.

Two versions are being released: a Standard Edition priced at $29.99 / €29.99, and a Deluxe Edition priced at $49.99 / €49.99. The Deluxe Edition includes a physical copy of the game, a SteelBook, a physical CD of the official soundtrack, an 80-page art book, and a digital comic reader featuring three classic comics and a demo for the unreleased sixth game, Legacy of Kain: The Dark Prophecy.

The remaster updates the 2003 dark fantasy title with improved graphics, a revised camera, a photo mode, and ‘lost levels’ not found in the original release. While the physical versions are limited to consoles, the game is already available digitally on PC via Steam and Epic Games Store, as well as on various PlayStation, Xbox, and Nintendo platforms.
