Crystal of Atlan announces collaboration with The King of Fighters '98

Nuverse has announced a collaboration between its cross-platform magicpunk action RPG, Crystal of Atlan, and the classic fighting game The King of Fighters ’98. The event, titled “Dancing With Flames,” is scheduled to run from August 27, 2026, through September 17, 2026.

As part of the collaboration, the character Mai Shiranui will be introduced as a combat NPC. Players can participate in a five-round combat challenge to earn limited-edition rewards, including emotes, an aura, and an attachment. Additionally, special Mai Shiranui costumes for the Fighter and Gunner classes will be available via a gift box.

The update also introduces a new class branch for the Fighter called “Noiser.” This character utilizes music-based combat mechanics to enhance explosive power and rhythmic attacks. To support this launch, several character-specific growth events will be available to help players develop the new class.
