Crystal Palace and Everton complete Dwight McNeil and Brennan Johnson swap

Crystal Palace and Everton have completed a player swap deal involving Dwight McNeil and Brennan Johnson. McNeil has signed a four-year contract at Selhurst Park following his tenure at Everton, where he made 128 appearances.

Brennan Johnson moves to Everton after seven months with Crystal Palace. The 26-year-old winger, who joined Palace from Tottenham Hotspur in January, will now head to Merseyside.

The transfer follows previous complications in January when a potential move for McNeil to Palace collapsed at the deadline. Reports indicate that Crystal Palace chairman Steve Parish sought to address concerns raised by McNeil’s partner regarding the handling of the previous failed negotiations to ensure the current deal proceeded smoothly.
