Fulham faces Aston Villa in Premier League following Carabao Cup exit

Fulham is set to face Aston Villa at Villa Park this Saturday following a midweek Carabao Cup defeat to Crystal Palace. The 1-0 loss to Palace, decided by an Eddie Nketiah goal, saw Fulham dominate possession but fail to convert opportunities, leading manager Alvaro Arbeloa to describe the result as a “frustrating night for everyone.”

Ahead of the Premier League fixture, Fulham may see the return of David Affengruber and Emile Smith Rowe, though Smith Rowe is not expected to start. Antonee Robinson is anticipated to continue at left-back due to Ryan Sessegnon serving a suspension.

Aston Villa enters the match looking to recover from a 3-0 Carabao Cup loss to Bournemouth. Despite the cup exit, Villa has maintained strong league form, including a recent victory over Manchester City. However, the team faces a busy schedule with an upcoming Champions League match against Barcelona.
