Crystal Palace signs Netherlands midfielder Quinten Timber

Crystal Palace has completed the signing of Netherlands international midfielder Quinten Timber from Marseille on a deal lasting until 2031. The 25-year-old, who previously played for Feyenoord and Ajax, arrives at Selhurst Park with significant European experience and 13 senior caps for the Netherlands.

The transfer follows intense negotiations during the final hours of the transfer window. Reports indicate that Crystal Palace was prepared to offer between 18 and 25 million euros to secure the player, representing a significant profit for Marseille, who acquired him from Feyenoord for approximately 5 million euros in January.

Timber expressed a strong desire to join the Premier League, a move that would also allow him to reunite with his twin brother, Jurriën Timber, who plays for Arsenal. While negotiations were described as highly dynamic and time-sensitive due to the closing of the English transfer market, the deal has been finalized to strengthen Palace's midfield.
