Crystal Palace Snooker Club opens in Penang

The Crystal Palace Snooker Club has officially opened at All Seasons Place in Bandar Baru Ayer Itam, Penang. Located on Level 3 of the shopping mall, the venue features professional-grade Xingpai tables, a brand that supplies equipment for the World Snooker Tour.

Penang Youth, Sports and Health Committee chairman Daniel Gooi Zi Sen officiated the opening ceremony. Gooi noted that the new facility provides opportunities for residents to participate in sports, develop skills, and connect through shared interests. The establishment of the club is seen as timely as Penang prepares to host snooker and billiards events during the 2027 SEA Games.

The opening ceremony was attended by several prominent figures, including Melvin Chia See Oon, president of the Malaysian Snooker and Billiards Federation, and Datuk Michael Tan Cheong Heng, chairman of the Penang Snooker and Billiards Association. The club is managed by Yeoh Chong Aik.
