CS Dinamo coach Ionuț Chirilă earns 7,000 euros monthly amid Liga 2 struggles

CS Dinamo, currently at the bottom of Liga 2, is facing scrutiny regarding its financial management and squad composition. Reports indicate that head coach Ionuț Chirilă earns a monthly salary of approximately 7,000 euros, a figure nearing the monthly earnings of Olympic champion swimmer David Popovici.

The club is currently relying heavily on young talent, including 17-year-old Ayan Anghel and 19-year-old Rareș Cernamoriț, to compete in the second tier. Chirilă has stated that the team is focused on developing these young players, despite the physical challenges and poor results, such as being in 22nd place with only three points after seven rounds.

This situation has raised questions regarding the criteria for remuneration and performance objectives within sports clubs funded by public institutions, drawing comparisons to other state-supported teams like CSA Steaua.
