Csabai Kolbászfesztivál to return to Békéscsaba in October 2026

The 29th Csabai Kolbászfesztivál is scheduled to take place in Békéscsaba from October 22 to 25, 2026. This major gastronomic event focuses on regional culinary traditions, featuring sausage-making competitions, traditional butchery demonstrations, and folk music performances.

As part of the festivities, the Csaba Sausage Club will showcase traditional smoking and preparation techniques from various regions. The event also includes sausage-making contests for different age groups, ranging from kindergarteners to university students. Tamás Balázs of Békéscsaba was recently named the sausage king following an international dry sausage competition involving 94 entries.
