César Benítez honored as Albert Serra opens San Sebastián festival

Veteran Spanish television producer César Benítez was awarded the Joan Ramón Mainat prize at the XVIII edition of the FesTVal (Festival de Televisión de Vitoria‑Gasteiz). The ceremony will take place on 12 September at the Palacio de Congresos Europa in Vitoria‑Gasteiz, recognizing more than four decades of work on series such as “El Príncipe”, “Pasapalabra”, “Toy Boy” and “Valeria”.

Director Albert Serra will inaugurate the Made in Spain section of the 74th San Sebastián International Film Festival with his non‑fiction film “Seize moments de ma vie / Sixteen Moments of My Life”, a portrait of German actress and singer Ingrid Caven. The festival will also feature a range of new Spanish titles and a closing non‑fiction tribute to actor Paco Rabal.
