César Bono clarifies health status after eye loss rumors

Mexican actor and comedian César Bono has addressed false reports claiming he lost an eye during a recent surgical procedure. The rumors, which circulated following a report by journalist Gustavo Adolfo Infante, suggested that a tumor removal had necessitated the extraction of Bono's left eye.

Bono's son, Leonardo Bono, and the actor himself have since clarified that the surgery was a minor, outpatient procedure to remove a small growth from his eyelid. The actor confirmed he is recovering well and has even continued his professional commitments, including performing his monologue ‘Defendiendo al cavernícola’ at the Teatro Libanés.

Gustavo Adolfo Infante has publicly acknowledged the error in his reporting. The confusion was reportedly exacerbated by a photograph of the actor wearing a blood-stained medical gauze, which was misinterpreted by some as evidence of a more severe ocular surgery.
