César Jáuregui calls for strong candidate selection method
César Jáuregui Moreno has stated that the selection method for upcoming political candidacies must be designed to achieve broad acceptance among participants and, most importantly, result in the strongest possible candidate for the electoral process.
Addressing rumors that candidates have already been determined, Jáuregui dismissed these claims as a common occurrence in politics. He cited the historical example of former President Vicente Fox expressing a preference for Santiago Creel to succeed him, noting that the eventual outcome differed. Jáuregui emphasized that while political leaders may have personal preferences, the focus should remain on a selection method that strengthens internal processes and prepares a robust candidacy for the next election.
