César Luna-Victoria named head of Peru's tax authority SUNAT

The Peruvian executive branch appointed César Alfonso Luna-Victoria León as the new superintendent of the Superintendencia Nacional de Aduanas y de Administración Tributaria (SUNAT). The appointment was formalized by Supreme Resolution No. 027‑2026‑EF, published in the official gazette El Peruano, and signed by President Keiko Fujimori and Finance Minister Elmer Cuba Bustinza.

Luna-Victoria, a tax‑law specialist and former minister of industry, tourism and fisheries, succeeded Javier Eduardo Franco Castillo, who tendered his resignation and was thanked for his service. As head of SUNAT, Luna-Victoria will oversee Peru's tax collection and customs administration.
