César Moreno appointed president of Cruz Roja Tecate

César Moreno, former mayor of Tecate, was sworn in as president of the Cruz Roja Mexicana delegation in Tecate for the 2026‑2028 term. The ceremony was attended by national Red Cross president Eduardo de Agüero Le Duc, Tecate mayor Román Cota Muñoz, and state delegate Jorge Astiazarán Orcí.

Moreno pledged to strengthen the humanitarian services of the local Red Cross, manage resources, and promote community participation. Media reports note that during his previous municipal administration, more than 160 million pesos of public credit were questioned for lack of transparency, with audits indicating possible misallocation of funds. Despite these allegations, the Red Cross delegation granted him the leadership role.
