César Oscar Lencina resigns as Argentina Science Undersecretary

César Oscar Lencina has resigned from his position as Argentina’s Undersecretary of Science and Technology, effective October 29. In a resignation letter addressed to Secretary Adriana Baravalle and Chief of Staff Diego Santilli, Lencina cited persistent difficulties in performing his duties.

Lencina reported a lack of efficient communication and institutional support. He also alleged situations of mistreatment and lack of consideration toward staff within the work environment, stating these behaviors were inconsistent with his leadership experience.

Lencina had assumed the role on September 22, replacing José Luis Acevedo. The administration has not yet provided an official response to the specific criticisms raised in the letter, though sources indicate a replacement will be defined shortly.
