CSCAA releases 2026-27 preseason swimming and diving rankings

The College Swimming and Diving Coaches Association of America (CSCAA) has released its initial preseason rankings for the 2026-27 NCAA season. This year marks a transition to a ‘comprehensive in-season ranking’ format, which evaluates overall team strength by considering dual meet results, national athlete rankings, depth, and championship meet performances, rather than relying solely on dual-meet records.

In the men’s preseason poll, the University of Texas earned the top spot via a unanimous vote with 250 points. Indiana followed in second place, closely followed by Florida. The top five men’s teams are Texas, Indiana, Florida, California, and Tennessee.

In the women’s preseason poll, the University of Virginia was also voted the unanimous number one, receiving the maximum 250 points. Stanford and Texas follow in second and third place, respectively. The top five women’s teams are Virginia, Stanford, Texas, Tennessee, and Indiana.

Additionally, the Texas A&M swimming and diving programs both secured spots in the top 25, with the men’s team ranked No. 24 and the women’s squad ranked No. 25.
