Csejd and Tófalva face eight-month public transport shortage

Residents of Csejd and Tófalva have been without public transportation services to Târgu Mureș for eight months, following the cancellation of bus routes in February 2026. The lack of connectivity has left hundreds of residents and dozens of students unable to commute to schools in the regional center, impacting their right to education.

A petition signed by 201 people was submitted to the Maros County Council and the Mayor of Târgu Mureș to address the isolation. While local officials have made promises to resolve the issue, the service gap remains unaddressed as the new school year begins. The mayor has stated that a solution is expected by the end of autumn.
