CSG announces defense technology partnerships in Azerbaijan and with Bavovna

Czechoslovak Group (CSG) has announced two significant defense industry developments. At the ADEX 2026 exhibition in Baku, the Czech holding group revealed plans to establish a second joint venture in Azerbaijan. This new entity, expected to launch in December 2026 with production starting in 2027, will focus on the localization of self-propelled howitzer production. The project is estimated to have a business potential of approximately €1.5 billion to €1.8 billion over the next seven years, involving technology transfer and the gradual development of Azerbaijan's domestic defense manufacturing capabilities.

Separately, CSG's subsidiary Excalibur International has signed a cooperation agreement with Bavovna, an American developer of advanced autonomous defense technologies. The partnership aims to expand the global application of Bavovna’s adaptive autonomy and alternative navigation solutions. These technologies are intended for various unmanned platforms, including aerial, surface, and sub-surface vehicles, allowing them to adapt to changing environments without continuous human intervention.
