CSG invests in Canadian startup North Vector Dynamics

CSG has announced an investment in North Vector Dynamics (NVD), a Canadian startup specializing in advanced anti-aircraft missile systems and hypersonic technologies. The investment aims to combine NVD’s technical development with CSG’s industrial expertise, manufacturing capacity, and commercial network.

The move comes as military forces face increasing threats from low-cost tactical drones. NVD CEO Paul Ziadé noted that these drones are designed not only to penetrate air defenses but to exhaust them by forcing defenders to expend expensive interceptors. Current high-end systems, such as the Patriot missile, can cost up to $4 million per shot, whereas drones can cost only a few thousand koruna. In conflicts like the war in Ukraine, drones have been estimated to be responsible for up to 70 percent of Russian equipment losses.
