CSIF demands cancellation of immigrant camp near nursery school

The trade union CSIF has demanded that the Spanish Government, the City Government, and the Unified Command immediately and definitively rule out the installation of an irregular immigrant camp adjacent to the Nuestra Señora de África nursery school in Loma Colmenar.

The union argues that the proposed site is approximately 15 meters from the school, a distance they claim is “absolutely incompatible with the special security and protection conditions” required for children aged 0 to 3. CSIF stated they will not allow the safety of the 176 children, their families, or school staff to be jeopardized.

Concerns regarding public safety are linked to recent reports from local residents in Loma Colmenar, who have denounced frequent fights, robberies, and disturbances of public order associated with existing settlements in the area.
