Csiky Gergely Theatre in Kaposvár has announced its 2026/2027 season, which will focus on the theme of intergenerational dialogue. Director Viktor Nagy stated the goal is to encourage communication between different age groups through a diverse repertoire and updated communication methods, such as the reintroduction of season booklets featuring QR codes.

The institution is also marking significant milestones, including the 115th anniversary of the theatre's opening and the 70th anniversary of its permanent company. To honor long-serving staff, the theatre is increasing its jubilee reward quota, an initiative that will result in an additional 27 million HUF in expenditure.

Mayor Károly Szita confirmed that the theatre's annual budget of 1.7 billion HUF is secured through 2029. Personnel updates include the appointment of Iván Hargitai as a permanent director and the return of actor Csaba Hüse.
