CSIR-CFTRI announces recruitment for 28 technician positions

The Central Food Technological Research Institute (CFTRI) in Mysuru, an autonomous body under the Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR) and the Ministry of Science and Technology, has announced the recruitment of 28 technicians through direct hiring.

The vacancies cover various trades, including 7 Electronics Mechanics, 6 Fitters, 2 Laboratory Assistants, 2 Computer Operators (COPA), 2 Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Technicians, 2 Electricians, and single positions for Instrument Mechanics, ICT System Maintenance, Carpenters, Plumbers, Sheet Metal Workers, Turners, and Welders. The roles are distributed across categories including Unreserved (9), OBC (9), EWS (5), SC (4), and ST (1).

Candidates must have passed 10th grade with at least 55% marks in science subjects, along with relevant ITI certificates, apprenticeship, or work experience. The age limit is 18 to 28 years, with relaxations for reserved categories. The online application process begins October 19, 2026, and closes on November 18, 2026. Hard copies of applications must be submitted via post by November 26, 2026.
